Paul Makovsky, Editorial Director at Metropolis magazine
Before joining Metropolis, Paul was managing editor of 2wice magazine and a Smithsonian Fellow at the Cooper-Hewitt National Design Museum where he worked on the exhibition and catalogue “Mixing Messages: Graphic Design in Contemporary Culture.” A graduate of the University of Toronto and McGill University, he has collaborated on numerous art and design exhibitions and is currently working on a biography of the life and work of Florence Knoll.
Jonas Damon, Creative Director at frog
Jonas is the industrial design lead for frog’s New York studio, taking responsibility for creative leadership and team management within the studio as well as cross-studio and cross-discipline collaboration. Jonas comes to frog with over fifteen years professional experience. His portfolio ranges from consumer products & electronics to equipment, transportation, furniture, interior design, retail environments, and packaging.
Nona Gross, Workplace Strategy & Design Specialist at Siemens Corporation
Nona has spent her career strengthening the correlation between business strategies and the planning, design and management of work environments. She is highly respected as a workplace content expert, and has written numerous corporate standards, policy and process papers over the last several years. She is a frequent speaker and is currently an active member and content contributor to IFMA’s Workplace Mobility events.
Tom Krizmanic, Principal at STUDIOS Architecture, NYC
After joining STUDIOS’ Washington, DC office in 1989 as an intern, Tom went on to lead the design efforts of the newly opened New York office in 1997. Since then, the office has achieved enormous success, due in part to his dedication to strong design and his ability to forge successful collaborations with his clients. His leadership and talent have allowed him to be successful in a broad range of projects including corporate offices, high-end retail, law firms, restaurants and other highly creative organizations.
John Michael, Vice President & General Manager, Furniture at Business Interiors by Staplesâ„ 
John is responsible for the overall performance of Staples contract furniture business nationwide. He successfully manages the operating performance of each market location to ensure they meet corporate guidelines. John has an extensive background within the contract furniture industry, with more than 25 years of experience.
Paul Darrah, Head of Corporate Real Estate at Bridgewater Associates
Prior to Bridgewater, Paul was a Director of Real Estate for the Americas at Lehman Brothers. In this capacity he was responsible for Strategic Planning, Leasing and Transactions, Design and Construction and Property Management for New York, New Jersey and Branches portfolio of over 6 million square feet. In addition, Paul is a member of the Trenton Economic Development Corporation, East Manhattan BID, Architectural Institute of America and Architectural League of New York.


Susan Szenasy, Editor in Chief at Metropolis magazine
Since 1986, Susan has lead the magazine through decades of landmark design journalism, achieving domestic and international recognition. Along with Metropolis Publisher Horace Havemeyer III, Susan was a 2007 recipient of the Civitas August Heckscher Award for Community Service and Excellence. In 2011 she won the Gene Burd Urban Journalism Award and was named a Senior Fellow by the Design Futures Council. She is internationally recognized as an authority on sustainability and design.
