Foron; Manufactured in the U.S. by Equator
Equator sells energy-saving appliances, but this new product--now on the
market in the United States--takes environmental ingenuity one step
further. East German company Foron developed a refrigerator that runs on
environmentally sound hydrocarbons (rather than the ozone-depleting CFCs
or globe-warming HCFs) as a way to compete in the reunified German
marketplace. Their latest, round version allows for rotating shelves,
which greatly increase visibility and access to contents.
