Wozoco apartments
One hundred loft-like, sunlit apartments for the elderly were worked into a compact building by sticking 13 of them on one facade, saving space below for gardens and parking.

Villa VPRO
MVRDV used glass panels and a road sloping into the building to keep inside and outside connected. Almost all the interior space can be occupied; there is virtually no separation between work and service zones at this media production center.

Eight different Dutch landscapes are stacked on top of each other in an open-faced tower; concrete dunes are featured on one level and, on the roof, working windmills surround a lake.
