Atlanta, Georgia

When I think of Georgia, many things come to mind--a warm, humid climate, friendly people, lush green beauty, the deepest blue sky imaginable. It also has history. Flags can symbolize freedom, and there aren't many freedoms equal to the ability to accept, embrace, and proudly display one's heritage, especially in the face of adversity. "We Shall Overcome" was sung by mourners filing though downtown Atlanta to pay homage to the late Dr. Martin Luther King, but it's also sung by many Georgians for a variety of reasons.
