UltraDressing, designed by Metaphase for I.V. House, is
a cost-effective solution to the problem of having to tape catheters to
a patient's body. Pediatric nurse Lisa Vallino collaborated with industrial
designer Brice Rutter to develop a device with a comfortable dressing wrap
that helps discourage patients from dislodging their catheters and has an
easy-access transparent plastic housing with Velcro fastener.
