A Table That Walks Tall

Blu Dot’s Strut table looks like it is made out of bubble gum—at least the pink version of it does—but it’s also available in white, baby blue, and olive drab. “We originally conceived of it as a kitchen table,” says Maurice Blanks, one of the founding designers of the Minneapolis-based Blu Dot, “but three days ago we started thinking we could make it into a home-office unit, too.”

Bludot plans to add drawers, a flat file, and a credenza to the dining table later this year. But for now, the Strut comes in two sizes: one that fits six people, and one that fits eight.
