Jimmy-ing Into the Desk Market

Sustainability and modularity are major factors in Modernlink’s new furniture collection. The company’s Jimmy desk—the little brother to its James executive desk—is no exception. Made from durable bamboo and stainless steel, and available in “baked” or “raw” finishes, Jimmy is 59 inches wide, 29.5 inches tall, and 28 inches deep—perfect for home offices. On the desktop, five smoothly gliding file “gills” keep the work area clear and organized. The small drawer on the right contains a sliding lid over two adjustable drawer organizers, which can be removed or shifted to accommodate letter-size paper. The desk is intended for homes, but Modernlink founder William Lee says it has been more successful in the contract market.
