The elegant Eva chair, designed by 23-year-old student Christopher Alvarado, is the result of a semester-long course offered by the Art Center College of Design in Pasadena, California in partnership with Bernhardt Design. One of only eight pieces from the class selected to be manufactured by Bernhardt, the chair is a sublime composition of leather and stainless steel, inspired, says Alvarado, by the sleek contours of such high-performance cars as the Ferrari. The chair comes in four luscious colors—pear, robin’s egg, flamingo, and a soft pink—and can also be delivered in a fabric version. Available in July for approximately $1,466 (leather version) in the Bernhardt Design New York Showroom.
