Wrapping the Walls in Foil

Upgrading the spare patterns from her debut collection, UK-based textile designer Jocelyn Warner introduced a small series of foil wallpapers at this year’s fair. Silver Leaf features broad gray leaves that look like shadows, which in turn are set against a silver background. Warner’s papers are hand-screened and, in this version, deliciously high-contrast: a velvety matte texture lain atop a slick metallic gloss. “The foil puts a polish on the original patterns,” says Steven Rappos of DesignTex, which is planning to distribute Warner’s work in the U.S.
