Mau’s Carpet Squares

The design for Bruce Mau’s L7 modular carpet is based on monochromatic square patterns. “By juxtaposing a wide range of hues within a very limited color palette, we were able to achieve a richness of color never before seen in contract carpet,” Mau explains.

The patterns within the collection are named after different multiples of 2—2, 4, 12, and 24 square—and the designs can be combined in countless different ways. And since the carpet is modular, it can always be rearranged later!
