A Good Basis

Among the many challenges associated with designing corporate environs include the need for functionality while creating a timeless setting that compliments both task and tastes. When developing Basis, Decca Contract’s collection of casegoods, these challenges were addressed. “Basis works in every setting of an administrative workplace,” explains John W. Fischbach, President of the Dallas-based manufacturer. “There is continuity throughout the entire installation without being something that will go out of style.” Basis offers an array of fixed as well as freestanding design solutions that can be arranged to support a host of requirements. Designed by Brian Graham, Basis provides a modern wood finishing—including 2 1/4-in. thick wooden tops for a substantive look and feel—for workstations, open office configurations, service credenzas as well as storage cabinets and media walls.
