Interior Design: Green is More than a Fashion Color

“Interior Design: Green is More than a Fashion Color” was a panel discussion by industry leaders and part of the New York Eleven student exhibition opening that took place on April 14th, 2008. New York Eleven is a collaboration of 11 prestigious New York State educational institutions offering four-year programs in interior design. The theme of the 2008 exhibition was Interior Design: Sustaining the Future – Part II.

Speakers include: Erika Doering, a Brooklyn based designer specializing in greendesign for private residences, public spaces, commercial studios and retail stores;Suzan Globus, FASID, LEED AP, of Globus Design Associates and immediate Past President of the American Society of Interior Designers (ASID); Erika Hanson, a designer and consultant specializing in sustainable products and interior environments; Debera Johnson, Academic Director of Sustainability at Pratt Institute and leader of the development of the Center for Sustainable Design Studies and Research; Ruth Lynford, FASID, IIDA, CID, AIA Assoc, founder of New York Eleven; and Susan S. Szenasy, Editor in Chief of Metropolis.
