Javits Center regulations prevented Spark Modern Fires from lighting the Fire Ribbon, a glass-fronted, direct vent gas fireplace, during the ICFF—but that didn’t dim the enthusiasm of fairgoers looking for cleanly designed fireplaces for modern interiors. “So far the response has been overwhelming,” says co-founder John D’Alessandro.
