The forward-thinking company Snaidero has achieved that mix by hiring Ferrari designer Paolo Pininfarina to produce a limited-edition kitchen—a futuristic-looking circular construction made of completely recyclable materials, including an aluminum structure that is 40 percent lighter than a standard aluminum unit. Currently available in Europe, the kitchen will be released in New York and Los Angeles later this spring.

Manufacturers and designers are transforming wet rooms through surprising material combinations and component choices.
