Kitchen Architecture by Bulthaup
The craze for luxurious German kitchen systems will continue if Bulthaup continues improving its design, as it did for this year’s ICFF.
The company has just introduced cabinetry made of Swiss pear wood, a luscious, cider-colored material that looks like it’s been the slightest bit limned. Bulthaup is also marketing its touch system of drawers and cabinets, which means no messy handles to disrupt the taut geometries of your neo-Modernist kitchen.
Of course, as with all of these fancy-shmancy German kitchen systems, perfect lines and captivating details don’t come cheap. Custom-designed kitchens, without appliances, range in price from $1,500 to $2,500 per running (or is that stunning?) foot.
