As NeoCon Convenes Virtually in 2020, Metropolis Offers Programs on Sustainability
In response to the pandemic, the trade show’s new platform, NeoConnect, digitally brings together designers and exhibitors.
This year, rather than convening in person at theMART, NeoCon will gather virtually via its new digital design hub, NeoConnect. And in lieu of Metropolis’s annual NeoCon supplement, Specify, we’re showcasing select products, voices, and programming here on our website throughout the month of June.
NeoConnect will include access to exhibitor product launches from over 500 companies, daily CEU webinars, as well as panel discussions and talks from leading experts which will all be available through Fall 2020. Access to the community portal will also provide participants with original blog and video content.
On June 8th, Metropolis and NeoCon will be launching Metropolis Sustainability Lab, presented by Aquafil. The Lab is a curated web experience where we delve into topics from resilient design to embodied carbon in the built environment, and provide in-depth information on products and manufacturing from our lab partners.
Metropolis’s weekly webinar series throughout the month of June will also have a special focus on sustainability. All webinars will be free and CEU accredited, and are now open for registration at metropolismag.com/webinars. Attendees who register and join the sessions every Tuesday at 4pm EDT will be able to participate in the conversations and address questions to industry leaders and experts. The videos will then be available for viewing via NeoConnect.
On June 10th, we will announce the winners of our annual #MetropolisLikes awards, which recognize the most innovative solutions debuting on NeoConnect. Additional show-related coverage includes DesignTV by SANDOW: NeoCon edition, which will be available to stream daily from 11 am-1 pm CDT the weeks of June 8 and June 15th featuring State of the Industry information, product and project inspiration, and conversations pertinent to the contract market.
Other program highlights include Novità Communications’ #DesignGetsTogether Virtual Happy Hour, AIA Chicago Small Project Awards, and Interior Design’s Virtual HiP Awards, to name a few.
NeoCon 2021 will run June 14-16, 2021 at theMART in Chicago.
