Using Recycled Newspaper

We use 500,000 tons of recycled newsprint paper to manufacture USG wallboard and ceiling products. Each ton saves of 7,000 gallons of water, 3.3 cubic yards of landfill space and enough electricity to power an average U.S. home for six months. It also reduces carbon emissions by the equivalent of one metric ton.
