Eric Jourdan completes his Hyannis Port storage line for Ligne Roset with several sleek pieces bearing the line’s signature, bull-nose back corners. The secretary is a stand-out, featuring a pull-down door that opens to reveal two drawers with an adjustable center shelf, a suspended chest with storage niches, a full-width drawer with a center divider, and three more niches.

Aside from its unique design, the secretary boasts the company’s new ebony oak finish. “We are seeing a growing demand for blacker, ashier wood,” says Tracy Knott, Ligne Roset’s marketing manager. “It works as a wonderful neutral against colorful furniture.” (The Secretary is also available in natural oak and white lacquer.) Knott also notes the piece’s polished chrome hardware, signifying a move away from the matte metal hardware of the past.
