Textiles leap from two dimensions to three at the hands of Anne Kyyrö Quinn. Using industrial wool felt and woven wool, she creates pillows, floor cushions, throws, and blinds whose surfaces are “sculpted” into bubbling landscapes, toy-like targets, wavy stepladders, and other cartoonish effects. Trained as a textile designer in Helsinki and London, Quinn is now applying her animated approach to fashion accessories, such as bags, scarves, and shawls.
