Russel Wright’s “landmark” Manitoga estate: it has a ring to it. And now it’s official. In February, Wright’s self-designed home and studio in New York’s Hudson Valley got the nod from the Department of the Interior. “It was a very rigorous home to live in,” daughter Annie Wright recalled in our March 2001 issue. “[But] I was really aware of the fact that I was involved in something new and forward-thinking.”
