Iconic

Buzzwords

ICONIC: In design journalism, frequently (perhaps too frequently)
used as shorthand for famous, classic forms. Also used by architecture critics as a charge against flamboyant, instantly recognizable buildings
(see also: starchitect).

“I have been an avid reader of Metropolis for its thirty glorious years of reporting and commenting on the past, present, and future of a better-designed world—an iconic magazine that celebrates the visual icons of graphic history. My image celebrates, and excitingly anticipates, those icons that are yet to be created.” —George Lois
