A Prolific Dwelling Designer Passes Away
When H.I. Feldman died at the age of 84 on January 27th, 1981, he left New York City with 2,500 ways to remember him – all of them apartment houses.

Through his life, Mr. Feldman’s work sprouted up along the Grand Concourse in the Bronx, as well as in Brooklyn. His building streak then picked up quickly – during the post-WWII building boom – and traversed many major neighborhoods in New York City. These neighborhoods included, but were not limited to, Murray Hill, Greenwich Village, and Yorkville.
