Wallpaper vs. Wall Mural: There’s a Difference

Wallpaper has been featured in the U.S. recently at the Fabric Workshop in Philadelphia. [“Up Against the Wall”] It is on the “new hip” list in the art world right now. So, when I look at these “wallpapers” featured in this article, what I am seeing are murals, as opposed to wallpaper. Wallpaper traditionally utilizes a certain repetition within a repeatable standard size. I don’t have a problem with challenging tradition, but of the eight examples shown, all were using the full panel as one graphic. This says paper printed wall mural to me. Is 20’ wide the standard module?
