What are you doing here at ICFF?
LK – We’re hoping to get feedback on our stuff, and hopefully some stores will pick it up.
KF – Our line is called Gluttony, we realized that it was kind of all about food and consumption and value – and, well, it’s kind of all gluttony here!

Have you seen anything you love?
LK – We haven’t gotten a chance to walk around much, but I do like the steel barnacles at the IDA booth.

Who is the most underrated designer?
KF – Women! A lot of people who are getting known seem to be guys, especially with cutting-edge, critical commentary sort of work.

What was your last design purchase?
LK – A toy from the Moma store – everyone thought I was crazy.
KF – Ron Gilad’s Vasemaker – I’ve been waiting to buy it for a while.

Tell us about your outfit!
LK – I have on a WESC belt, I took it off a dress, and some pointy elf shoes!
KF – The pants are Tripwear – I almost didn’t buy them because of the little skull studs. The top’s from Forever 21, and these are Paladium shoes, I can’t wear heels!

Which common object is most in need of a redesign?
LK – Headphones – I have a problem with constantly breaking mine.
KF – Coffeemakers – I hate cleaning them out in the morning.

What did you have for breakfast?
LK – Bagels from Murray’s Bagels – I had a pumpernickel bagel with a fried egg and she had an everything bagel with scallion cream cheese.

Do you think designers can change the world?
LK – Yes! Definitely. It’s something people are so passionate about.
KF – No. I think it’s up to the consumer. A designer can choose materials and things, but until consumers go out and buy it, it doesn’t matter.
